Airplane Intel Executive Summary
The world is changing. The days of relying on commercial airlines for personal and business travel are over. Many aviation and economic experts agree, it will take as much as ten years for the airlines to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Experts also agree that general and business aviation are on the verge of growth and prosperity not seen in decades. We strongly believe that much of that growth will occur right here in Central Florida, starting in Ocala.
Professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, and successful individuals require a fast, reliable, and safe means of travel to and from their residences or businesses in Central Florida to distant and often remote locations within the United States and abroad. While traditional forms of travel such as ground transportation and commercial airlines offer certain advantages, they are not as flexible, convenient, secure, or efficient as private air travel.
Imagine having the freedom to fly where you need to go, when you need to be there, without the inefficiencies, hassles, or delays of flying commercial or driving. Imagine being able to take your family on a weekend getaway, meeting your buddies for an afternoon round of golf in the Bahamas, or closing a deal with an important client halfway across the country and being home for dinner. These are not pipe dreams; these are realities experienced by our clients every day as aircraft owners and operators.
While many may assume that private aviation is exorbitant, flashy, and exclusive to the ultrarich, the average traveler fails to realize that private air travel is more affordable and accessible than ever before. Many individuals and organizations leverage the value proposition only offered by private air travel to achieve personal and business objectives. Users of private air travel are among the most successful, productive, and effective people in America and have a positive financial and economic impact on local communities across the country – communities like Ocala, and others throughout Central Florida.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has further amplified the demand for private air travel. Many frequent fliers have been left grounded due to travel restrictions, capacity reductions, and service interruptions from commercial air carriers. While many have turned to aircraft charter operators to fill the gap, the costs rarely outweigh the benefits. On the other hand, aircraft ownership offers the flexibility, safety, and convenience to remain productive, dynamic, and profitable. In fact, aircraft ownership is often three to five times less expensive than equivalent charter costs, inspiring many to ditch their jet card for their own aircraft.
However, aircraft ownership is not a simple undertaking. It requires an enormous amount of research, planning, and logistics to keep an operation viable, healthy, and cost-effective. Without the right team, buying, maintaining, and managing an aircraft is complex, confusing, and risky. Aircraft owners and operators demand unbiased advice and reliable support services such as management, maintenance, and streamlined operations to ensure their success. That’s where we come in.
We are revolutionizing aviation by delivering turnkey aircraft ownership solutions to aircraft owners and operators throughout Central Florida and beyond. We started Airplane Intel in 2016 with the mission of enhancing aviation through safe and responsible aircraft ownership. We are committed to helping buyers, owners, and operators make safer and smarter decisions when it comes to buying, maintaining, and selling their personal or business aircraft. Today, we provide a wide range of owner support services, products, and programs to assist owners and operators through all phases of ownership.
We are excited to announce that we are teaming up with Sheltair and basing our operation to the Ocala International Airport to better serve our clients and invigorate the private aviation community in Ocala and surrounding areas. In the short term, we plan to deliver turnkey owner support services such as consulting, pilot service, aircraft maintenance, aircraft management, and sales to local, national, and international aircraft owners and operators. Our short-term objectives will encourage more aircraft operators to base their aircraft at the Ocala International Airport, contributing to increased revenue and enhanced recognition to the airport.
In the long-term, we plan to establish an FAA Certified Repair Station licensed under FAR Part 145 to serve the growing number of transient and permanently-based turbine-powered aircraft at the Ocala International Airport. We plan to provide line maintenance, heavy maintenance, and scheduled inspection services to turbine-powered aircraft from King Airs to Gulfstreams. Turbine aircraft maintenance is already a much-needed service on the field, especially with the addition of the World Equestrian Center and seasonal traffic from Ocala Breeding Sales (OBS). Fulfilling this need will only increase the value the airport brings to the community and help put Ocala on the map for a must-visit city and airport.
